Occupant Classification System – Functional Safety ASIL-B
Home Case Studies Occupant Classification System – Functional Safety ASIL-B
Project Scope
- Review Existing Non-Functional Safe Legacy Occupant Classification System Software and Re-architect it to meet ASIL-B Functional Safety (ISO 26262) rated Software
- Understand Safety Goals and create Functional Safe Software Requirement Specifications, Software Architect Design, Software Detailed Design, Code
Business Challenges
Redesigning the Non-FuSa System to meet FuSa is time consuming.
ARi’s Solutions
- Created SRS, SAD, SDD and code based on Technical Safety Requirements, System Design Specification and rated each for FuSa (ASIL-B/QM)
- Partitioned the existing SWCs for ASIL-B and QM, and allocated respective resources
ARi’s Value Proposition
- Implemented Memory Protection Unit (MPU) and Fault Injection Testing (FIT) to achieve Safety Standards
- Implemented software for the components like UDS Manager QM, UDS Security Manager ASIL-B, EEPROM Driver QM, EEPROM Manager ASIL-B, Watchdog Driver ASIL-B modules.
- Achieved Functional Safety ASIL-B compliance for Occupant Classification System
