Cushion Hitch Damping Valve for Wheel Tractor Scraper (WTS)

Project Scope


  • The scope of this is introducing new Damping Valve for cushion hitch

  • The damping valve is proportional valve instead of on/off valve


Business Challenges

When the Valve is changing the entire performance of the machine get changed, so we must maintain the performance.


ARi’s Solutions


  • Implemented the model based on the requirements

  • On/off valve is converted to proportional valve

  • Converted the floating model into fixed point model

  • Faced issues related to sample time errors and eliminated them by providing proper delays

  • Validated the model using MIL and using HIL level

  • Matched the performance of the machine as same as with the previous valve

  • Implemented the model based on the requirements, converted the floating-point model into fixed point model and validated the model in MIL afterwards tested in actual machine level as well

  • The performance of the machine is same as the previous valve with this the cost is reduced by replacing the valve
