Front Frame & Rear Frame Lifting & Tie-down Analysis

Project Scope

  • Develop a simulation model for the existing front and rear frame assemblies

  • Perform load analysis at lifting points (4X):

  • Proof Load: 20 kN & Breaking Load: 53 kN

  • Perform load analysis at tie-down points:

    • 25 X Proof Load: 23 kN (transverse), 74 kN (longitudinal)

    • 2 X Breaking Load: 37 kN (transverse), 119 kN (longitudinal)

  • Conduct static load analysis to evaluate stresses on the parent material and weld joints under these load conditions

Business Challenges

  • Develop detailed simulation models of the frame assemblies and critical components

  • Integrate both front and rear frame models into a single analysis

  • Apply realistic fixed constraints at frame mounting locations

  • Accurately simulate complex loading at lifting and tie-down points

ARi’s Solutions

  • Worked closely with onsite engineers to clarify scope and track progress

  • Created accurate and up-to-date simulation models using Creo

  • Conducted thorough static analyses to evaluate structural behavior

  • Provided technical recommendations to improve component life and performance under stress

ARi’s Value Proposition

  • Improved Safety Assurance: Identified critical stress points under extreme load cases, helping the customer validate lifting and tie-down safety

  • Cost Avoidance: Early detection of high-stress areas helped the customer avoid expensive rework and ensured weld strength compliance

  • Faster Decision Making: Delivered reliable simulation results that supported quicker engineering approvals and reduced testing time

  • On-Time Delivery: Completed and delivered the project on schedule, helping the customer maintain their product launch timelines
