Project Scope
Design electrical harness and cables for IPL 18, 12 and 15 programs for CPI.
Business Challenges
- Each Program have 1 wiring gp and 23 harness files
- Scope of work is only Replacing TE connectors with Molex connectors and
releasing with new part numbers for all programs
ARi’s Solutions
- Identified same pin positions connectors and functionality
- Identified all harness lengths +/- 30mm difference
- All components placed at same functionality and created the VG’s routed
the harness which resulted in reducing new part numbers for invertor power
group
ARi’s Value Proposition
- Initially IPL 18 have total 24 harness, we proposed maintenance of 30mm
length difference for creation VG’s as per standard harness length after
these 6 harness new numbers are reduced - IPL-12: we reduced 7 new part numbers
- IPL-15: we reduced 11 new part numbers
- We recommended customer to take same length and functionality VG’s can
be used from released programs - Reduce cost for overall 600$-800$
