A leading Off Highway OEM trusted us to handle their machine benchmarking project, during which we managed the end-to-end activity right from Competitor machine field performance trials, machine teardown, 3D-CMM measurements, CAD model creation, material testing and baseline FEA analysis.

Business Challenges

The entire project was to be completed in 4 months hence we had to do meticulous planning and have seamless coordination with all stakeholders. Moreover, considering the confidential nature of the project, all the activities were done in a temporary warehouse with no sophisticated tools with zero safety incidents.

ARi’s Solutions

ARi’s core team of engineers planned the project and conducted field data acquisition on the structural load bearing parts to map the stress and vibration levels at critical locations. They then proceeded to dismantle the machine with utmost care with the right tools and sequence of sub-assemblies. Once done each part was scanned and measured to recreate the CAD geometry in 3D. The material samples were also analyzed to perform FEA analysis and part should costing.
