Project Scope
A leading manufacturer of off-highway equipment approached ARi to help improve and reduce the flashing mechanism that is used to deploy applications into the ECU. To achieve the faster flashing, ARi proposed & implemented a solution that not only helped achieve faster flashing, but also helped them move towards emerging technologies.
ARi’s Solutions
Initially, we chose Ethernet as the communication medium to fulfill the need & to provide a solution to achieve faster flashing. After utilizing traditional 4-wire Ethernet stack, we started to move towards BroadR-Reach technology, understanding importance of 2-wire Ethernet in Auto sector. This allowed incorporation with multiple electronic systems and devices and bypassed traditional cabling for Ethernet connectivity, allowing all vehicle components to connect using wires that are lighter and more cost effective. This solution brought a significant change in flashing by reducing the flashing time to ten times with this latest technology.
ARi’s Value Proposition
- The development & maintenance costs improved significantly.
- Platform to migrate from using traditional technologies to trending automotive technologies.
- Emerged and stood among the companies that encourage new technologies in auto industry.
- Gained advantage over the competitors in the market.
