Project Scope
A major OEM approached ARi to fabricate and assist in the validation of a new prototype military powerpack for an off & on road application. This powerpack consisted of an engine, transmission, hydraulic systems, cooling systems, electrical systems, and all ECU’s and software necessary to operate the powerpack and interface with a vehicle. Shortly after beginning the project, the OEM lost several resources and came to ARi for additional design support. Since then, ARi has been an integral partner in the conceptual design and development of the hardware and software, fabrication, and validation of the powerpack.
Business Challenges
- Complex Space claim, very tight package, and extreme technical. requirements
- 0.5mm tolerance with respect 3m+ long packaging.
- Very tight project timeline, so the design and built need to be completed in parallel.
