The project involved creating a comprehensive Finite Element Model of the entire unit of a Batching Plant and conducting Static and Modal analyses to evaluate its strength and structural integrity.

  • The primary challenge included meshing the entire model without altering the original geometry provided.

  • Deployment of Shell Elements with Maximum Quads to mesh the Batching Plant unit effectively.

  • Critical areas and different mode shapes obtained through Modal Analysis were meticulously studied to identify potential weak points.

  • Static Analysis was performed under various loads, including wind loads, to assess structural stability.

  • Additionally, ARi recommended the use of different sizes of beams and plates to reduce the weight of the structure without compromising strength.
